BIRTHDAY BEAR TRADITION

I have 9 old, wrinkly friends, who are retired or semi-retired. Five of them all used to work together and the other four are husbands. They didn't want to lose touch when they retired so they decided to meet and have lunch or dinner when it was their birthdays. However, they got disenchanted with buying a present every time, and decided instead to give a Birthday Bear (thats me.) I get passed from one birthday person to the next each time they meet. The fun part is, that I get to be dressed differently each time, usually to reflect some aspect of the recipient's personality or life.
PS: Two of my wrinklies, Chris and Bob, have gone on a working holiday tour around Australia so they don't celebrate with us very often.

SANTA'S HELPER

I was so lucky. I applied for a job helping Santa make toys for all the children in the world. Santa usually employs elves for the job but this year he was happy to have a Bear help because he needed someone to make toys for all the bears in the world. Whoo Hoo how happy was I.

Ann dressed me and took me to Sunnybank Hotel to  celebrate Christmas with my wrinkly friends. See my mode of transport. I had finished making toys and it was nice to have a break. I hope all my bear friends enjoyed the toys that Santa brought them.

We had a great Christmas lunch. Even our travelling wrinklies, Bob and Chris were in town and they could join us. The staff at the Sunnybank Hotel are very good to us they are used to me coming to their place for lunch and they decorated the table for me and always set me a place.

Don't look now. Bill let me have some beer because it was Christmas. It had a sour taste but it made me feel good inside. It would taste better with some honey in it. No Christmas Cake but a swig of beer.

  2. My mom says I am not allowed to have beer because I am underage. I think there must be some non-alcoholic honey ale out there for us bears to try.

    1. We think it just might be Root Beer Ajdin. Have you ever had a Black Cow? Take one large glass of cold root beer and add 1 scoop of vanilla ice cream and a drinking straw; that is called a Black Cow.
